The
Wellness Community-Greater Boston is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and stress management
programs to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally-led support groups, educational
workshops, nutrition, exercise programs, and mind/body classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them
to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.

How You Can Help
Cancer Garden of Hope
In partnership
with the City of Boston, The Wellness Community Cancer Garden of Hope will include approximately 2,500 commemorative bricks as well as a series of trees and park benches that will include commemorative
plaques. The Garden will be developed on Boston City Hall Plaza and will honor all those involved in the cancer journey
- family, friends, colleagues, and medical professionals. To purchase a commemorative brick in memory of someone, or
to honor someone living with cancer or a special caregiver, simply click HERE or call The Wellness Community at (617) 332-1919.
Volunteer Volunteers help The Wellness Community every day. There are many volunteer opportunities to choose from.

Family Reading List The Wellness Community is pleased to continue the FAMILY READING LIST developed by Hurricane Voices. The list identifies books and videos that help moms with breast cancer address the implication
of the disease on family dynamics. We hope to enhance the list to address other concerns and situations important to

Upcoming Special Programs

Kids Count Too!
A special program for families with children ages 6-12, in which a parent has cancer. Children
participate in an activity relevant to living with cancer in the family, while parents have a chance to talk about the challenges
of parenting during the cancer experience. Teens ages 13-18 are also invited to volunteer as mentors. more...

Experience unique theater where true stories are brought to
life. Audience members describe important moments in their lives and the actors act them out in the moment, seeking

Frankly Speaking About New Discoveries in Cancer (HANOVER) This educational
workshop will provide information about current medical and psychosocial advances available for cancer patients. Anne
Roberge, MD of Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology in Weymouth, will discuss innovations in new treatments and research for future
