Heather Steinberg Joins The Wellness Community-Greater Boston as Vice President of Development


Newton, MA – April 19, 2007 – The Wellness Community–Greater Boston (TWC)
a non-profit organization providing free  services and programs for cancer support, education and hope today announced that Heather Steinberg has joined its senior management team as Vice President of Development.

In her new role Ms. Steinberg will be responsible for securing funding and building relationships with various corporations and foundations as well as cultivating existing and prospective donors for TWC. Her extensive experience writing, editing and administering grant proposals and research profiles will serve to enhance TWC’s visibility in the corporate giving arena. Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Steinberg was a corporate and foundation development officer at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Advertising from Boston University.

“Heather’s skills and background driving development initiatives will be a terrific asset to us,” said Ronald Lipof, President and CEO of TWC. “Her strong background in corporate and foundation relations will help support our quickly growing organization, our expansion across Massachusetts; and our recently launched Crystal Campaign to raise $1 million from corporations and foundations through 2008.”

The Wellness Community is a non-profit organization whose   mission is to help people with cancer and their loved ones by providing a professional program of support, education and hope. Located in Newton and at Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, all programs and support services are free of charge.
