The Wellness Community-Greater Boston
Presents “Faces of Wellness” exhibit at the Wellesley Free Library
Newton, MA –
May 29, 2007 – The Wellness Community–Greater Boston (TWC), a non-profit organization providing a free program of cancer
support, education and hope, today announced that its “Faces of Wellness” exhibit will be presented
in the Wakelin Room of the Wellesley Free Library during the month of June 2007.
“Faces of Wellness” is a traveling photography exhibit designed to inform the public
that The Wellness Community is available and committed to supporting people living with cancer and their loved ones.
Each picture is paired with a story – the subject’s personal account of their experiences with cancer and
with The Wellness Community.
“Our goal was to
capture each subject in the act of celebrating life by doing something they love,” said Steve Marsel, photographer for
the exhibition, in partnership with ad agency Hill Holliday.
“In the next 12 months, more than 10,000 people in the Greater Boston area will be diagnosed with cancer. We want
them to know they are not alone,” says Ronald Lipof, President and CEO of The Wellness Community - Greater Boston. “Our
hope with this exhibit is to increase general awareness of the services and programs we offer.”
