Boston Holds Premiere of First On-Demand Television Program Focused on Cancer
Newton, MA – Sept.
10, 2007 – The Wellness Community-Greater Boston (TWC), a non-profit organization
providing free support and education services for people with cancer and their loved ones, today announced the premiere of
Facing Cancer Together, the first on-demand television program focused on cancer.
Facing Cancer Together, hosted by
cancer survivor Shonda Schilling, is a first-of-its-kind program and is produced out of the Newton facility of The
Wellness Community-Greater Boston, and broadcast throughout the country. The goal of this program is to bring cancer support
and education services directly into the home, so that people with cancer and their loved ones can benefit from the exceptional
programs offered at Wellness Communities all across the country, even if they cannot make it into a facility.
In partnership with independent health network HealthiNation, Facing
Cancer Together programs will soon be seen on Video On Demand cable channels nationwide and online at internet sites
like Yahoo Health.
