The Wellness Community-Greater Boston Announces
2007 Gilda Radner Awards Dinner Honorees
Newton, MA – February 12, 2007 – The Wellness Community–Greater
Boston (TWC) a non-profit organization providing cancer support, education and hope today announced that its 2007 Gilda Radner
Awards Dinner Honorees include Kathy Delaney-Smith, Harvard University’s women’s basketball coach; Shonda Schilling,
founder of the Shade Foundation, a skin cancer prevention organization; and Eileen Tye, founder of the Ray Tye Medical Aid
Foundation. The awards dinner will take place on April 30, 2007at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.

Schilling will receive The Gilda Radner Award, which is named after the comic actress Gilda Radner, who inspired the founding
of TWC–Greater Boston. The award honors individuals who, like Gilda, demonstrated courage, determination and hope in
the face of cancer and provide inspiration to others.
Eileen Tye will receive The Spirit of Wellness Award, which honors individuals who
have made outstanding contributions to the lives of people affected by cancer.
“We are excited to recognize these inspirational
women for all they are doing to raise awareness and offer support and hope to those fighting for recovery,” said Ronald
Lipof, President and CEO of TWC.
The Gilda Radner Dinner will be attended by Boston area community and corporate leaders, philanthropists
and former award recipients.
The Wellness Community is a non-profit organization whose mission
is to help people with cancer and their loved ones by providing a professional program of support, education and hope. Located
in Newton and at Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, all programs and support services are free of charge.
