The Wellness Community-Greater Boston Announces First Annual Robbie Lacritz Deitch Caregiver Appreciation

MA – February 5, 2007 - The Wellness Community–Greater Boston (TWC) a non-profit organization providing cancer
support, education and hope, will host its first annual Robbie Lacritz Deitch Caregiver Appreciation Awards Brunch. The event
will take place on February 25, 2007 at The Newton Marriott, to recognize and honor those who care for a loved one, friend
or patient facing the challenge of a diagnosis of cancer.
Ronald Lipof, TWC’s President
and CEO noted “Robbie Lacritz Deitch lived her life to the fullest as she underwent treatment for ovarian cancer. Her
infectious enthusiasm and positive outlook inspired family, friends and everyone she met. This new event will serve to acknowledge
those who embrace Robbie’s zest for life and their extraordinary efforts as essential components in the fight for recovery
to those with cancer.”
The theme of this year’s brunch is “Celebrating Our Everyday
Heroes” and will recognize a few exceptional caregivers. This year’s honorees include The Robbie Lacritz Deitch
Chemo Club, The Deborah Winters Foundation, Suzanne Hitchcock-Bryan, Dr. David McDermott, Lewis Coyne, Maura Wazkiewicz, Orvill
“Speedy” Knibbs, Lee Aster, Dr. Carolyn Krasner, Linda “Suzy” Trapp, Briana Wilson, Jaclyn Murray,
Iris Bloom, Kristin Croci and Leslie Hatton. Honorees were nominated by TWC participants.
The
Wellness Community is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people with cancer
and their loved ones by providing a professional program of support, education and hope. Located in Newton and at Dimock Community
Health Center in Roxbury, all programs and support services are free of charge.
