Our Greater Boston Organization

The Greater Boston organization was officially formed in 1990 to provide a free professional program of cancer support, education and stress management for people with cancer and their loved ones and caregivers.  The Greater Boston staff is leading The Wellness Community well into the future with innovative partnerships, programs, and even a leading television show - Facing Cancer Together.

In order to accomplish our vision, The Wellness Community-Greater Boston is committed to:

• Expanding public and professional awareness of The Wellness Community programs.
• Strengthening existing facilities and developing new ones.
• Providing state-of-the-art, evidence-based programs that are responsive to the needs of participants and their families and caregivers.
• Participating in psychosocial research in order to evaluate our services and contribute to the greater professional body of knowledge about cancer and psychosocial support.
