Partnership with
The Cunniff Group Cares Charitable Foundation of Newton
Newton, MA – March. 3, 2008 – The Wellness Community-Greater Boston (TWC), a non-profit organization providing free support and education services
for people with cancer and their loved ones, today announced a new partnership with The Cunniff Group Cares Charitable Foundation,
a non profit organization dedicated to enriching local communities through supporting youth programs. One
of the first partnership initiatives will be the 1st annual Fore! A Good Cause Golf Tournament
that will take place at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth Massachusetts on June 9th.
TWC provides professionally-led support groups, educational workshops, nutrition and
exercise programs, and mind body classes to help people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control
reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.
The Cunniff Group Cares Charitable Foundation has a special interest in The Wellness Community’s
Kids Count Too! program which supports children ages 4-12 who have a parent with cancer. Led by licensed psychotherapists,
these activity groups provide children with an opportunity to express the range of feelings they experience surrounding their
parent’s diagnosis. This program helps reduce isolation and restore hope, as children realize that they are not alone
in having a parent with cancer.
