Announces Second Annual Robbie Lacritz Deitch
Caregiver Appreciation Awards Brunch

Newton, MA – February 5, 2008 - The Wellness Community–Greater Boston (TWC) a non-profit organization providing free cancer support, education and stress management services for people with cancer and their families and caregivers, will host its second annual Robbie Lacritz Deitch Caregiver Appreciation Awards Brunch on February 10, 2008 at the Westin Waltham-Boston hotel. This program recognizes all those who care for a loved one, friend or patient facing the challenge of a diagnosis of cancer.

Ronald Lipof, TWC’s President and CEO noted “Robbie Lacritz Deitch lived her life to the fullest as she underwent treatment for ovarian cancer. Her infectious enthusiasm and positive outlook inspired family, friends and everyone she met. This caregiver appreciation program serves as a way to acknowledge those who embrace Robbie’s zest for life and their extraordinary efforts as essential components in the fight for recovery for those with cancer.”

This year’s honorees include Fulani Butler, Harold Gleaves, Stephen Hattori, David Hauser, Ann Heymann, Lloyd King, Debra Kurlansky-Winer, Nancy Peponis, Dr. Scott Plotkin, Judith Post, Ruth Rothstein, Anthony Simmons, Dorothy  Smilg, Kathleen Staska, Shawn Sullivan, Nicole Tomasino, Francesca Turiano, and Dr. Alexi Wright. Honorees were nominated by TWC participants.
